How to Publish and Print Professional Looking DVDs and CDs

DVD Duplication Equipment Purchasing Tips…. Continued

Earlier this week we discussed DVD duplication or DVD publishing equipment purchasing tips.

To continue with this important subject let’s talk about tech support and what it can do for you.

Technical support should always be one of the biggest deciding factors in your buying decisions. You need to make sure you are comfortable with the company and also comfortable with their systems for:
*Basic tech support

*Warranty information

*Software support

*Upgrades

Make a quick call to the company before you buy. If a live person answers – Great! If not, write down the time you called and then wait. See how long it takes for tech support to get back to you.

Look into the warranty. Typically companies offer one year. Some offer more. Honestly ask and see if you can get some extra warranty time. Maybe not but it never hurts to ask. Make sure you know what the warranty covers. Some companies even charge for basic tech support calls or general upgrades. Does the warranty cover parts if you spill coffee on it, or just if it malfunctions?

Lastly look at exchanges and refunds. Some warranties cover these areas other companies won’t help you out if you made a bad purchasing decision. Do they have many retailers or just one in a little Wisconsin town?

It’s always best to know what you’re getting yourself into before you buy.
