Purchasing Tips For DVD Duplication Equipment

If you’ve got a huge project that you’ve got to finish and you know you’ll go crazy if you have to sit there and burn one DVD at a time, then a DVD duplication system is what you need.

Here are some tips to help you figure out which one is right for you;

1. What is your current budget? Don’t try to go with the cheapest, but also you don’t need to go with the most expensive one. Systems can run anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. It all depends on what it is you’re trying to get done. Shop around before you make a decision.

2. What’s their tech support like? This is a very important question, and almost as important as the price and features. If their tech support is lacking badly, do you want to be bothered with a piece of equipment that you can’t figure out how to work?

3. Buy what you need. IF you are not duplicating a large amount of DVDs then an automated high capacity system may be too much for you. These are usually much more expensive too. On the other hand, if you’ve got a huge project and you don’t have time to do each DVD one at a time, then a high capacity system that is automated is what you need.

4. Is it upgradeable? Are you able to upgrade later on with the system you’re thinking of buying or are you stuck? Think about the future, get a system you can upgrade.

5. What about formatting? If you are wanting to use special formatting, then make sure that the system you want to buy is going to be able to handle that formatting. There are varying DVD standards and it’s a good idea for you to get a system that can handle dual-format drive capacity.

6. Talk to other people about your DVD duplication system. There are so many choices around, get together with people on forums and ask around. Get their opinion. Experience is the best teacher, so talk to people who have actually used the system, and not to people who just have fancy opinions.
