3. Distribute your music through online and offline sources such as Tunecore.com, a web site, at performances and events, and direct mail order.

This may not be the way you’ve been told, but it can be a way for you to make a living off doing what you love to do. Why should you have to work a job that only pays the bills with no heart and soul in it, when you can play music for a living?
