How To Copy A CD
In order to copy a CD you first have to copy that contents of that CD to the CD staging area. Then you have to record a new CD using that same data.
- If you’re using a standard CD Rom drive on your computer then you need to drag the contents of the host CD rom drive.
- You can also right click those files. Then, click “Send To” and then click the name of the writeable CD drive in order to copy those files
- Then initiate the record processing. You can right click the CD R drive. You then, click write the files to CD.
Copying your data and files to a CD
In order for you to copy any files and data to another CD you do the following:
1. First insert your blank rewritable CD into your CD recording unit.
2. Next, double click on “my computer” and then click the files that you need to have copied on to the CD. If you want to select more than one file, then just hold down your CTRL key and simultaneously click the files you want.
3. Click either :copy the selected files or copy this folder or copy this file.
4. Open the Copy Items box, and then click the CD recording unit. Then click “copy”.
5. In “my computer”, double click the CD drive that is recording.
This is an easy way to use your home computer to do basic copying. It’s an effective way, if you’re interested in copying just a handful of CD’s. Note: If you’re using older CD recorders, they may not create or copy your new CD. In order to resolve this problem, you want to use the CD recorder in order to back up your information to the other CD R discs.
