Create Your Own Films Now!

Creating your own films is easier than you think. Independent film making is anything that is created outside of the Hollywood Studio System. This term describes both the less commercially driven films as well as the films that are produced by people like you and me. These films are produced in smaller studios. A lot of independent film makers are small time producers who may only have one or two basic video cameras, a computer system and a handful of software programs. The key to success in films is to have a desire and a hunger to create successful films along with just a handful of cams and software programs. That’s it.

Easily create your films today

The very first thing you need is a digital camera. There are analog cameras, but to be honest, why bother with analog when all of the TVs are going digital. It’s best to not just get a digital camera, but one that has high definition capacity. These let you experience color and brightness of each single pixel. You’ll also have a lot more flexibility in post production efforts. Your films will have a much higher resolution. Also, you’ll have more control over colorimetry through the production phase.

Here is a list of video cameras for your films that are recommended for you if you’re on a budget:

This is just a short list of video cameras that are recommended for your films, if you’re on a tight budget. There are much more expensive models and if you have the money, it is suggested that you invest as much money as possible on your digital video camera. It will show in your films. Digital video cameras can go between $300 to $20,000 or more. Obviously, as a producer and creator of films, the more money you invest the higher the quality of your films are going to be. The results will be apparent. In addition, you’ll want to do some serious research. Don’t just pay a lot of money for a camera, know why you have to pay that amount. Know from other users who will tell you their experience with that video camera.

There are also software programs that you’ll need to create your films. There are two main types:

    DVD production software
    Video editing software

So let’s talk about the editing software programs first. There are tons of them available. I’ve picked out a couple so that you can begin to do your own research. These are my favorite for producing basic films. The first one is Ulead Video Studio Plus. This is an excellent choice for film producers that are pros. It comes with multitrim, HDV proxy editing, HD DVD on out put. It also has video noise filtering and backlight.

The next one is Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11. This is my all time favorite. This is because it has enough features for most home film makers. It’s also super easy to learn to use and has a third party slide show tool. It also has a great effects package, theme specific titles, and audio noise removal. It’s a great program for newbies and advanced users.

Both of these programs will also burn your films on DVD

If you’re looking to distribute your films, you’ll definitely need to burn them on to DVD, but you’ll need to go a step further. You’ll need a DVD publisher. With a DVD publisher, you’re able to publish your films as needed. You may not be selling a million copies yet, but you can easily create 40, 100, 500, 2000, 12,000 copies as needed.
